DESCRIPTION:\n\nJoin Us for Durham’s 4th Annual World Hunger Day event!  Sunday, June 8 from 3-6pm at Durham Central Park. This is a day to raise awareness and honor the incredible organizations working to eliminate hunger in Durham.\n\n\n\n\n\nStrong Food Systems, Strong Community is our World Hunger Day 2025 theme. We’re bringing together all parts of our Durham food system for a day filled with learning, fun, and food!\nHere’s what you can look forward to:\n Free food giveaways  Music  Food trucks  Kids’ activities  Community resources & giveaways . . . and much more!\n\nBut we need YOU to make this day truly impactful! Here are three ways you can help:\n\nSpread the word – Tell your community about the event. See event flyer attached and learn morehere. \nVolunteer – We need many volunteers to make this great event happen. See details and sign uphere.\nBuy a meal for a neighbor – Help ensure that everyone at the event can enjoy a meal from a local food truck.  Please consider donating to help your neighbors and community. The first 50 donors will receive an event t-shirt! Donate here.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLet’s come together to celebrate, support, and fight hunger in our community. See you on June 8th!\n\n\n
