Breastfeed Durham
The Durham Digest
April 2022

In celebration of National Minority Health Month and Black Maternal Health Week, rather than having our usual virtual meetings on April 11, Breastfeed Durham is celebrating with a An Act of Advocacy.

We are also thrilled to announce and support Equity Before Birth and HEARTS Dance-A-Thon and fundraiser.

We feel honored and privileged to connect with passionate people who have the capacity to advocate for families in the midst of these difficult times. Please sign up today to volunteer or donate to support the upcoming Family Festival and Health Fair on May 14 from 3-6 PM. And please encourage our local businesses and organizations to apply for the Breastfeeding Friendly Community Partner Award. Spring is arriving and families with young children are slowly transitioning out of quarantine. More than ever, they need safe places to breastfeed.
