Calling All Perinatal Organizations: Registration Closes Soon

Family and Communities Rising, Inc. -- Family Fun Day is almost here! This is your final reminder to register before the deadline on April 5th. This year they are rolling out the red carpet for all perinatal support providers and educators, from doulas to baby-wearing instructors, and childbirth educators. This day is dedicated to celebrating and supporting low-income families, including those in Headstart and Early Headstart programs. The film is in partnership with the National Birth Coalition and explores the vital role of birth doulas and birth justice. Through real-life stories and diverse perspectives, the film highlights the physical, emotional, and informational support doulas provide during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum (including lactation support).

The Franklin County Health Department is seeking a passionate and dedicated Breastfeeding Community Educator to join their team. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide support and education to new mothers on breastfeeding and related topics. This is a grant-funded position with funding through May of 2026, with the possibility of extension. 30 hours/week at $22/hr. The role involves program planning, community engagement, and data collection.
