Aya Birth & Community Wellness: Open Access Maternity Clinic!

Aya Birth & Community Wellness is now in Phase I of offering services to the Triangle Community! While they are unable to offer births just yet, they are thrilled to announce their new Open Access Maternity Clinic!

Holding true to the midwifery model of care, Aya offers access to affordable Prenatal, Postpartum and Newborn care, with delivery by the staff at Duke Regional Hospital. This clinic is open to anyone seeking services and a sliding scale payment system is available for those who are uninsured, under insured, and/or undocumented who desire midwifery care with birth in the hospital setting. At this time Medicaid is the only accepted insurance plan.

Services offered include pregnancy test/confirmation, prenatal care by Aya’s Midwives at their office, postpartum care, and newborn care. (Aya’s Midwives do not attend births at this time, but all births will take place at duke Regional Hospital with hospital on-call staff).

Please see the attachments below a breakdown of what to expect for services and a pricing list.

Aya Birth & Community Wellness is also searching to fill two positions: 1) Medical Interpreter; 2) Spanish-speaking Certified Nurse Midwife!
