Dr. Emily Hannon (she/her) is a board-certified pediatrician who joined Western Wake Pediatrics in 2020.  Prior to that she served as the medical director of the newborn nursery at the Duke University Hospital, and was a pediatrician and Assistant Chief of the Department of Pediatrics at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento, California for 10 years.

Dr. Hannon is an expert in infant feeding and improving care for pediatric patients of all ages. She has lectured locally and nationally, teaching doctors, nurses, and lactation consultants about a variety of topics surrounding childhood, adolescent, and newborn care. In addition to being a pediatrician, Dr. Hannon is also an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

In her free time, Dr. Hannon volunteers in her neighborhood and children’s schools, and is a member of the North Carolina Pediatric Society and the North Carolina Breastfeeding Coalition.
