A special thank you to our monthly sustainers and our donors that were only able to give a few dollars. Your donations grow our organization into so much more. We have accomplished so much over the last four years, Thank You.

On Friday, October 14th, our Executive Director, Bernadette, went to a restaurant called GG Fish & Chicken for an Act of Advocacy follow up. She was greeted by the owner’s son. Bernadette asked him if he would like to sign up for our breastfeeding award and because his father was not there, he couldn’t. However, as Bernadette left the information with him, he expressed how if parents feel comfortable breastfeeding their baby while eating or waiting on the food here, then it’s okay with him. To him, breastfeeding is very important for babies. Instances like this make it clear that our community is made up of fantastic people and businesses that are breastfeeding friendly.

In the spirit of gratitude and the holiday shopping season, a special thank you to our Breastfeeding Friendly Employers and Community Partners. As the holiday shopping season begins and many of us start thinking about the end of year giving, please remember our Breastfeeding Friendly Employers and Breastfeeding Friendly Community Partners and the Breastfeed Durham Team.
