The Power of Visibility: Our latest project involves the creation and placement of culturally appropriate signage on local buses. This initiative is part of our commitment to implementing step 2 of the 10 steps to a Breastfeeding Family Friendly Community. Collaborating with local artists, L Jámal Walton, we’ve designed signs that resonate with our diverse community, promoting breastfeeding as a natural and healthy practice for all families.
The Power of Support: Blue Line Media LLC has graciously offered us a donation of $150 to support Breastfeed Durham. his gesture not only aids us financially but also strengthens our network of support, crucial for the success of community-based initiatives.
Impact on Health: Our efforts go beyond normalizing breastfeeding, chest feeding, and. human milk feeding. They are a direct response to the alarming rates of infant and maternal mortality, particularly in underrepresented Durham communities.
