North Carolina Breastfeeding Coalition – National Minority Health Month, Special Edition

In celebration of National Minority Health Month, the North Carolina Breastfeeding Coalition is hosting a special edition meeting! This meeting is dedicated to  uplifting and spotlighting the incredible work of Black and Brown lactation support providers and supports across our state. This is a unique opportunity for prenatal support providers, whether you’re a professional or offering peer support, doulas, and anyone involved in lactation support, to share your resources and experiences. Our mission is to highlight and enhance the visibility of the diverse and vital resources available for racially and ethnically coordinated care in North Carolina.

Everyone is invited to attend, listen, and learn from the rich discussions and presentations. We especially encourage Black and Brown lactation professionals to take the stage for a few minutes each to showcase their contributions and how the North Carolina Breastfeeding Coalition can support their efforts further.

April is Minority Health Month, and we are committed to featuring the contributions of BIPOC lactation professionals throughout the event. If you are a Black or Brown lactation professional in North Carolina and wish to be featured, please fill out THIS FORM with your information and how NCBC can support you in your role.

Mark your calendars for this empowering session and join us via ZOOM to be part of a collective effort to ensure every family in North Carolina has access to informed, culturally competent lactation support. Together, we can make a difference!
