The U.S. Breastfeeding Committee recently released the series of 2020 Breastfeeding Reports featuring a unique snapshot of key data points and federally funded activities in every state and territory. The North Carolina reports feature information on breastfeeding rates, disparities, maternity care practices, and WIC performance measures, and highlights some of our state’s community-based projects made possible through federal funding in 2020. Download North Carolina’s report to see how lactation outcomes compare to national rates and how federal investments in infant feeding are making a difference where you live. U.S. Breastfeeding Committee is working hard to create tools to help you get this impactful resource to your policymakers and they are planning a technical assistance session focused on the reports in February 2022.
