Starting September 2, 2024, new and returning families will need to make an appointment to access the Giving Closet.
Walk-in appointments for new families will no longer be available on Fridays. To request an appointment, they can use the bilingual registration link: Welcome Baby Registration (jotform.com). Families can also upload required documents, such as ID, proof of Durham residency, birth certificates or hospital copies, directly through the registration form. Alternatively, they can bring these documents on the day of their appointment.
Expecting mothers do not need to provide documentation of pregnancy but must be at least 4 months pregnant. After registering, we will respond with an appointment date within 24-48 hours and come to their appointment between the hours of 9 AM to 1 PM. If families need assistance with the form, they should call Welcome Baby at 919-560-7150, and will receive help.
These changes are in response to the increased number of families using our services. Our goal is to ensure we have enough supplies for all families seeking assistance. We appreciate your support and cooperation as we work to serve our growing community.
