On June 3, 2022 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm EST BreastfeedLA is presenting Breastfeeding Is Also A Men’s Issue!, a live webinar featuring Juan Diego, Education Director at MOMS Orange County and creator of “Daddy Boot Camp.”
Juan Diego runs a Spanish language version of the Daddy Boot Camp program, which he created out of a desire to share the importance of breastfeeding and effective partner support with Latino fathers. Juan Diego will lead BreastfeedLA as they examine the health and psychosocial benefits of a father’s role in supporting the breastfeeding relationship. By the end of this presentation, participants can expect to: understand the importance of the support of the man in the process of breastfeeding; recognize that a more participatory culture of men should be created; and learn 3 practical ways to better support men in the prenatal and postpartum area. This live webinar will be conducted bilingually, with an English presentation and Q&A followed by a Spanish presentation and Q&A.
BreastfeedLA y LA Best Babies Network presentan “¡La lactancia materna también es un problema de hombres!” un seminario de web en vivo con Juan Diego Noreña, director de educación de MOMS Orange County y creador de “Daddy Boot Camp”. Al final de esta presentación, los participantes pueden esperar: comprender la importancia del apoyo del hombre en el proceso de lactancia, reconocer que se debe crear una cultura más participativa de los hombres y aprender 3 formas prácticas de apoyar mejor a los hombres en el área prenatal y posparto. Se llevará a cabo de forma bilingüe, con una presentación en inglés con tiempo para preguntas y respuestas seguida por una presentación y preguntas y respuestas en español.
