At Breastfeed Durham, we are committed to providing inclusive and tailored support to all families on their infant feeding journeys. To better understand and address the unique needs of Spanish-speaking families in Durham and the surrounding areas, the Pro-Lactancia Hispana Coalition is excited to announce our Infant Feeding Needs Assessment.
We recognize the importance of fostering a supportive environment that respects cultural diversity and promotes successful breastfeeding experiences. With the aim of enhancing our services and support, this needs assessment will enable us to gain valuable insights directly from the Spanish-speaking community.
The Infant Feeding Needs Assessment has been thoughtfully designed to address a wide range of topics relevant to Spanish-speaking families. By participating in this assessment, families can voice their opinions, share their experiences, and express their needs in a safe and confidential manner. This will help us shape our programs and services to better support their unique circumstances.
In celebration of the first Lactancia Latina recognition week (September 5-11) as part of National Breastfeeding Month, we invite all Spanish-speaking families in Durham and the surrounding areas to join us in this important initiative. Your participation will contribute to creating a more inclusive and informed breastfeeding support network.
To facilitate your involvement, we have translated the needs assessment into Spanish, ensuring that language is not a barrier to participation. We owe a special thanks to our dedicated translator, Nicola, for her invaluable assistance in making this assessment accessible to the Spanish-speaking community.
