This August marks the 14th annual National Breastfeeding Month! The 2024 National Breastfeeding Month theme is Nourish, Sustain, Thrive. With this theme, National Breastfeeding Month aims to shine a light on why protecting, promoting, and supporting lactation is so important for the human life cycle, honor the incredible work that organizations are doing to make the world a little more friendly for new parents and families, and highlight how individuals, funders, and policymakers can contribute to a strong and sustainable lactation field. Join us as we celebrate and honor lactating parents and work to protect, promote, and support breastfeeding and human milk feeding.
Throughout the month of August, we want to celebrate and recognize all the work you are doing. If you’re having any events, or know of any breastfeeding events in August, please let us know so we can help and support you. Send to Breastfeed Durham at <newsletter@breastfeedingcommunities.org>.
