MAAME, Inc. (Mobilizing Afircan American Mothers through Empowerment) empowers Black, Brown, Indigenous, and other Birthing People of color and those historically excluded to navigate systems during pregnancy and postpartum as well as mobilize to offer resources, education, services, and support for holistic maternal health, wellness, sustainable communities, and economic advancement. They offer maternal health navigation, full-spectrum doula support, maternal mental health support, lactation and infant feeding support, food access, essential baby items, emergency support, and more. Spanish-speaking service providers are available.
New Programming
- MAAME, Inc.’s Lactation Clinic includes an IBCLC, IBCLC mentees, and Breastfeeding Support Specialist, who are now booking appointments to service the community.
- MAAME, Inc’s You Matter Program is a safe, non-judgmental mental health program that provides services to our BIPOC families. Their mental health clinician has years of experience with perinatal families and resources.
Accepting Doula Clients
- MAAME’s Doula Collective has grown with more eager doulas to assist BIPOC families in having more informed and less stressful pregnancies and deliveries. Are you looking for a doula? Look no further – MAAME is currently accepting doula clients!

- Unopened diapers and pull-ups (all sizes)
- Unopened menstruation products
- Baby wipes
- Household items (laundry detergent, dish soap, disinfectant, dish soap, disinfectant, sanitizer, toilet paper and paper towels)
- Personal and baby hygiene items (soap, deodorant, baby wash, dental hygiene)
- PPE
