Capturing Memories: Join Our Photo Contest and Free Photo Shoot Event!

Breastfeed Durham is excited to announce two upcoming photography events that celebrate the beauty of breastfeeding. Whether you’re a professional photographer or an amateur enthusiast, we welcome you to participate in our photo contest or attend our free photo shoot event! All families that celebrate Black Maternal Health Week or Minority Health Month are welcome to participate.

Photo Contest

Our photo contest is open to all photographers who wish to showcase their best images of breastfeeding families and babies. We encourage you to submit photos that capture the essence of human milk feeding, the joys of family, and the beauty diverse families in our community.

To enter the contest, apply here by April 30, 2023.

We will announce the winners on our social media pages and website on May 15, 2023.

The prizes for the top three winners include a cash prize, a feature on our website and social media, and a certificate of recognition.

Photo Shoot Event

Breastfeed Durham is also hosting a free photo shoot event for Black and Brown breastfeeding parents in honor of Black Maternal Health Week and National Minority Health Month. We recognize the importance of documenting the experiences of diverse families and their children, and we want to provide you with a professional and memorable photo shoot experience. The photo shoot event will take place at Duke Gardens on April 20 from 4:30 to 6:30.

We invite parents to register for the event.

Our team of professional photographers will be on hand to capture your precious moments with your child.

We hope that these photography events will help to raise awareness of the importance of breastfeeding and Black Maternal health, and celebrate the beauty and diversity of our community.
