Health Mentorship Program

We believe academia to be an extremely important piece to normalize breastfeeding and normalize/encourage support for parents. We love seeing students and researchers interested in this topic. We would like to share a mentorship opportunity at the Center for Global Reproductive Health.

I hope this message finds you well! My name is Saisahana Subburaj and I am speaking on behalf of the new Maternal, Sexual, and Reproductive Health Mentorship Program at the Center for Global Reproductive Health.

We hope to provide students with a strong network of motivated and passionate professionals with diverse expertise, offering general academic and career advice. We are also looking to pair undergraduate students with mentors involved in their specific area of interest (e.g. family planning, maternal mental health, cervical cancer prevention), to see if mentors have opportunities for them (either in their own lab/grant, or facilitate opportunities with colleagues). We also aim to provide a platform for mentors to share their work in a quarterly newsletter.

We plan for the program to kick off at the beginning of 2021.

If you’re interested in being a mentor, please fill out this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSclgEDoigZD-AGGO-k5WaBnzBD9Nqzd2TatQNgkFOdOIhFdTw/viewform

The form will include questions regarding your experience/interests, availability, and goals for the mentorship program.
